I am a registered social worker & therapist at the clinic. I am a member of the clinical team at North York General Hospital, with previous experience also at Bellview, the Cedar Centre, Sunnybrook Health Science Centre, & the George Hull Centre for Children & Families. Aside from my 15 years of experience working within the field of mental health, I am also a lecturer at George Brown College in the Social Service Worker Program.
With my various work experiences in hospitals, clinics & private practice, I am confident in my ability to help children, adolescents, adults, & families with various presenting concerns. I have experience facilitating therapeutic and psycho-educational groups, which allows me to better support my clients in trying to understand the complexities of their mental health concerns & situations.
My therapeutic approach utilizes psychotherapeutic modalities including, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Behavioural Modification, Person-Centred approaches, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness, Trauma Recovery & relapse prevention. I support clients through the use of a strength based approach & brief solution focused techniques to address various mental health related issues.
